I know this might sound a bit twin-odd to those who haven’t been following the drag racing scene, but 2,000 hp twin-turbo Gallardos are starting to become the norm in this realm.
We’re not kidding here - when a racing team shows up at a half-mile event with no less than three 2,000 hp Gallardos, this is the only conclusion that can be drawn.

We’re talking about OB Prestige, which has introduced its forced induction trio at the recent Revvolution & Shift Sector’s Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack.

All three Raging Bulls thrown into the arena featured twin-turbo setups by Heffner Performance. Oh, and don’t expect Sant’Agata Bolognese’s six-speed manual, or their e-gear automated manual, to be in place. The factory trannies were ditched in favor of six-speed sequential units coming from Australian specialist Holinger Engineering.

Let’s talk numbers, shall we?

And while the three Lambos might have the same output, with all of them using twin 76-mm turbochargers, the tech magic happening inside each one of them is bespoke.

For one thing, the Grey one is a rear-wheel-drive monster, which the team grabbed in order to be able to compete in this class. As for the other two, their engines are different.

The Red one features the pre-facelift 5-liter V10 block with even-fire, while the Blue machine packs the newer 5.2-liter block with odd-fire. Nevertheless, the team was always ready to shift transmissions between the cars as if they were playing with LEGO.

Sure, the figures are more than impressive, but what about the results - did the twin-turbo efforts pay out?

When you show up at an event with such a line-up, you expect to win and this is precisely what these guys did.

In the all-wheel-drive class, they managed to climb all the way up to 224 mph (360 km/h), while their rear-wheel-drive Gallardo hit 205 mph (330 km/h).
