Incredible numbers is what tuners are all about these days. Looking over the specs they seem to be getting out of the new M4 it’s no surprise that the car’s bigger brothers, the M5 and M6 can push out close to 1,000 HP.
After all, just taking a look at the specs reveals the potential of the S63 engine that was built by the same team over at BMW’s Motorsport division. Since the 3-liter S55 can apparently make up to 650 HP and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque with small changes, imagine the possibilities on the 4.4-liter plant.

The guys from PP-Performance seem to know a thing or two about tuning the M6 and they put together a couple of ECU kits for the twin-turbo V8 that can take the power output upwards of 700 HP. One such car can be ‘admired’ in the video below, drag racing a Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG that was also tuned.

However, unlike the Bimmer, the Merc has even more power coming from its biturbo 5.5-liter V8. The video description doesn’t say it clearly but according to fans of the channel that have seen that car in action before, it would be putting down 780 HP thanks to a Stage 2 tune from MHP.

So, if that’s true, we’re looking at a 700 HP BMW M6 Coupe going up against a 780 HP CLS63 AMG that’s also lighter than the Bavarian. Care to guess who wins?
